LAS VEGAS — It got intense at the end of Thursday's Devin Haney-Jo Jo Diaz Jr. press conference. The WBC champion and challenger went nose-to-nose and had to be separated.

Before they step inside the ring at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Haney and Diaz got one final look at one another at Friday's weigh-in and they didn't disappoint.

Diaz (32-1-1, 15 KOs), the former IBF junior lightweight champion, came to the scale first and weighed in at muscular 134.8 pounds. Haney (26-0, 15 KOs) was next and easily made weight, coming in at a ripped 135 pounds. Then the fun began.

Like Thursday, Haney and Diaz went nose-to-nose. But this time around, both guys verbally sparred back-and-forth for nearly a minute before being separated by their respective teams.

Here is what happened at the Devin Haney vs. Jo Jo Diaz weigh-in.

Diaz, a former 130-pound champion, comes onto the scale first and is 134.8 pounds. Haney is next and comes in at a bang on 135 pounds to make the WBC lightweight title fight official.

Haney and Diaz squared off and spewed trash back-and-forth until they were separated.

Montana Love and his dog

Co-main event participants Montana Love and Carlos Diaz make their way to the stage.

Diaz goes to the scale first and is 139.8. Love, with his dog sitting and not moving an inch, is 143.8 to make their 144-pound catchweight fight official. Love picked up the dog and did the customary staredown with Diaz. Pretty cool and something different to see.

Wyatt is first and weighs 146.2. McCaskill is next and comes in at a very cut 146.4 pounds.

Ahmatovic is a late-replacement but came in fantastic shape.
