The former world champion has a clear winner in mind.

With just days until Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia step into the ring, the boxing world has fully turned its attention to the WBC super lightweight title fight.

Featuring a pair of young stars, the fight has the potential to be one of the best this year. As is usual in the days leading up to a big bout, boxing's prominent voices begin to give their take on how they expect the fight to unfold, and George Groves is the latest personality to share his opinion on the subject.

A former world champion himself, Groves is well-positioned to comment on the upcoming event. Speaking to Betway, the former WBA super-middleweight champion believes distractions outside of the ring could be the downfall of one of this weekend's competitors.

"I think Haney beats Garcia," Groves said. "They're both good talents but Garcia has got that quit in him, and he’s all over the place on social media.

"I think Haney is working hard, but I don't know how Garcia can be. Maybe that's the curse of a massive following on social media, it's too distracting and you have to live up to it. Haney wins."
