Liddard vs. Denny: Subscribe to watch - TOMORROW

Eddie Hearn believes George Liddard can help be the flagbearer for a new generation of British stars against Tyler Denny on Saturday.

The former defends his British and Commonwealth middleweight titles against the latter at London's Copper Box Arena, live on DAZN.

Twenty-three years young, Liddard has been tipped by many as a potential future world-level contender if he maintains his current form.

Speaking at Friday's weigh-in, Matchroom Boxing supremo Hearn echoed such sentiments, and backed him for his latest litmus test.

"Denny's confident," he said. "He's a great fighter. You've seen him with some notable victories. But Liddard is on an incredible trajectory.

"[It] pushes him up the world rankings. It's a massive fight on a brilliant card. This is the next generation of British fight stars coming through.

"They're all in deep on Saturday night. [George] wants to be aggressive in the route he is taking. He's a young man with his hands full.

"To become the youngest British champion against Keiron Conway is a great achievement. But Tyler Denny is maybe a step above that."

Liddard takes aim at stars with latest test

Eddie Hearn has seen some big talents break through from British level across the years - and to him, George Liddard could be a top one.

The middleweight star remains firmly in the nominal infancy of what could be a lengthy career, and yet is already courting major interest.

Should he come through Tyler Denny this weekend, he might find himself already in the conversation for a shot at a world title later in 2026.

But that is a big if. Denny may have plenty of extra miles on the clock, but with that has come some hard-bitten experience in his pocket.

Win here, and Liddard will have taken out arguably his biggest opponent yet. Win in style, and he could be primed for even bigger fish.
