Carl Frampton achieved plenty during his 12 years in professional boxing.
The man known as 'The Jackal' amassed a large fanbase and managed to treat them to some memorable nights including a majortity decision victory over Leo Santa Cruz in New York City nine years ago, which is often hailed as one of the best wins by a British boxer overseas.
Over the years, Frampton has been promoted by some of the biggest names in boxing including Eddie Hearn and Matchroom, and towards the end of his career, he chose to be promoted by Frank Warren.
The veteran promoter has been responsible for some of the biggest fight nights in boxing history, and speaking in an exclusive interview with DAZN News, Frampton had nothing but praise for Warren and his team.
"I can speak on a personal level, I have a lot of time for Frank, he’s been very good to me. His son’s George and Francis, the team at Queensberry, there are a lot of good people there," Frampton said.
"Frank gave me my biggest ever pay day, considering I joined him towards the end of my career, after Santa Cruz, after [Scott] Quigg, that might surprise some people, and Frank was always the quickest to pay me as well."
During his time with Warren, Frampton managed to secure a number of major contests and fulfil a lifelong dream to fight at Belfast's Windsor Park, the home of football in his native Northern Ireland.
On that night in August 2018, he beat Australia's Luke Jackson in front of a packed house, this was followed up four months later by the IBF featherweight title fight against Josh Warrington.
While Frampton would lose to Warrington in what was one of the best all-British title fights in recent memory, it's no surprise 'The Jackal' labelled that memorable night at Windsor Park as his favourite moment from his time working with Warren.
"The Windsor Park one is hard to beat really, fighting at the home of football in Northern Ireland. Having Tyson Fury on my undercard, the promotion was amazing, it really was and the whole city was alive that night," Frampton continued.
"The Warrington as well, although I lost it, Frank called it one of the best all-British fights that he’s ever seen.
"He came into the changing room afterwards, he was very nice and respectful, he just tried to reassure me a bit.
"Frank is someone I have a lot of time for."
