Filip Hrgovic played coy on a possible bout with Moses Itauma, but stressed he would "never run from any opponent."
The Croatian brushed aside Dave Allen at Doncaster's Eco-Power Stadium on Saturday night with a brusque performance.
DAZN News reported earlier this week that Hrgovic was the top option to face Itauma if he came through his latest bout.
But speaking in the ring afterwards, 'El Animal' neither confirmed nor denied that he is in line to challenge the Briton next.
"Look, I've always told you I'll want to fight with anyone in the division," he told DAZN's Ade Oladipo. "Moses, anyone.
"I just need to sit with my manager, my team, to check if there are any injuries. Give me a mirror and I'll sign the contract now.
"I want to fight anyone. I just need to sit with my team in a few days and decide, but I never run from any opponent."
Itauma is set to return in August following an impressive five-round stoppage victory over Jermaine Franklin in late March.
It turns out that, among the top-ranked heavyweight players, Moses Itauma isn't the only man capable of a quick job now.
Having gone the distance in his last two wins, Filip Hrgovic got Dave Allen out in three on a rainswept Doncaster evening.
That will surely only increase the clamour for the Croatian, long linked to Itauma, to tackle the fast-rising star in his next bout.
It represents a fascinating test for both men in a sense, testing out their respective durability at the top end of the division.
Having clocked less than a quarter-hour in the ring this time, Hrgovic will surely be fit for August. Watch this space for a deal.
