He will rematch a former rival.

Floyd Mayweather confirmed he will run it back with John Gotti III despite the chaos of the earlier fight between the pair.

The two first fought in Florida, back in June, but their ill-tempered clash was called off in the sixth round and the referee brought the fight to a close.

Gotti then continued to try to attack Mayweather, leading to scuffles between the fighters and their respective camps, and fights also broke out in the crowd.

However the two rivals soon patched things up as tempers started to cool, and there was occasional chatter about a potential rematch.

Mayweather has made a second career of fighting celebrities over the last few years, ever since his 50th and final professional fight against Conor McGregor.

Instead of picking another name, Mayweather posted on his Instagram account that Mayweather vs. Gotti would be back for Super Bowl weekend next year.

He posted: “Kicking off Super Bowl Weekend- Unfinished Business. See you in Las Vegas. More details Soon!!”

For now, the NFL event is scheduled for February 11, so a fight would likely be that evening or a day either side of it.
