George Groves likes what he has seen from Moses Itauma so far as a professional, but he admits he might be hard matching the heavy-handed prospect moving forward.
Last year, Itauma proved his elite credentials when he blasted out Demsey McKean in one round proving that he is a threat to be taken seriously.
Despite his tender age, Itauma is still only 20, there are calls within the sport for him to jump to the highest level and take on Oleksandr Usyk.
Time is very much on his side, and he can afford to be patient, and although Usyk is a big test, those handling his career may prefer to build more experience and get Itauma more rounds.
Groves, a former world champion, is following Itauma’s rise, and he’s even suggested a novel idea to get him more rounds.
“Moses is a tough one to match for me. Everyone who wants to fight him now probably wants to get paid mega money. He's a main event fighter now, so who'd you match him with?” asked Groves when speaking to Adventure Gamers .
“That might be a problem for us fight fans because every time we tune in, there's this new Mike Tyson and all of a sudden, it’s over in 2 minutes! It might be the future, having multiple opponents in one night.”
