Road to London: How did George Liddard and Tyler Denny reach Lonsdale Belt showdown?
George Liddard mounts the first defence of his British and Commonwealth middleweight titles against Tyler Denny tonight.
The rising star, tipped to make the leap to world level sooner rather than later, is seeking to retain his Lonsdale Belt here.
At London's Copper Box Arena however, he will face a serious test of his young powers against a veteran of the game.

Unbeaten across his professional career so far, Liddard has only gone from strength to strength as he has climbed the ranks in recent months.
All but one of his last five fights have come via stoppage, with dazzling victories over George Davey and Omar Nguale Llunga back in 2024.
He began 2025 with a points win over Derrick Osaze, before dispatching Aaron Sutton and then Kieron Conway to earn his Lonsdale Belt.

There's been plenty of promise from Denny at domestic level in recent years, but any ambitions of a world challenge likely live on this bout here.
Wins over Matteo Signani in November 2023 and Felix Cash in June 2024 led him to a brutal loss against Hamzah Sheeraz the following September.
While his former rival has pushed on to world title bids, Denny has since rebuilt with quiet victories against Elvis Ahorgah and Grant Dennis instead.
