Eddie Hearn believes that Vince McMahon will still have some involvement in the running of WWE.

The Matchroom chairman has first-hand experience witnessing an experienced business head step down after taking over from his father, Barry Hearn, as the leading figure at the multi-sport company in 2021.

Last Friday, it was announced that McMahon would be leaving WWE, professional wrestling’s leading company, with the 76-year-old tweeting that he has retired. Since then, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, and Nick Khan have all been handed leading roles, but Hearn isn’t convinced that Vince will be absent from decision-making.

“Don’t be deluded enough to believe that Vince McMahon won’t be working with the WWE every single day,” said Hearn when talking on the subject on The DAZN Boxing Show.

“It’s an incredible business. Stephanie McMahon has grown up in a business, and I know what that feels like. It means more to you than anything. She’s going to be fierce.”
