It wasn't pretty but Denys Berinchyk managed to show enough ring savvy to become the new WBO lightweight world champion with a split-decision win over Emanuel Navarrete on Saturday night.

The aftermath of the victory had the 36-year-old Berinchyk expressing interest in fighting fellow WBC lightweight world titleholder Shakur Stevenson and surging fighter Keyshawn Davis.

So how did they react to the newly-crowned champ's call-outs?

First Stevenson downplayed the possibility of IBF lightweight world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko taking on his fellow Ukrainian, Berinchyk, as Stevenson has been lobbying for a fight against Loma himself.

But Stevenson did seem to respect Berinchyk saying his name.

Davis, meanwhile, didn't take the call-out from Berinchyk as a threat at all. Instead, he signaled that their pairing would make for a long night in the office for Berinchyk if the fight were to be made.
