The IBF have announced that its heavyweight champion, Daniel Dubois, will be ordered to face mandatory challenger Derek Chisora.

Dubois was set to make a defence of his title on February 22 in Riyadh against Joseph Parker, but he was forced to withdraw from the bout due to illness.

In a statement given to Sky Sports, the IBF said the following regarding Dubois' mandatory challenger.

"Derek Chisora is the mandatory challenger for Daniel Dubois but the mandatory bout is due to be ordered on April 22. There is not enough time for an eliminator since Dubois' mandatory is due on June 21."

However, if Dubois decides to face Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title, the IBF will allow this contest to happen before 'Dynamite' has to face Chisora.

Chisora is set for his 50th and final professional fight after beating Otto Wallin in Manchester, and if he challenges for a world title, it will be his third attempt at boxing's biggest prize after unsuccessful attempts against Vitali Klitschko and Tyson Fury.

If Chisora does indeed land a shot at IBF champion Dubois, it will be some way for the 41-year-old to bow out after an entertaining 18 years in boxing.
