On paper, Jack Rafferty had the edge over Mark Chamberlain heading into their Saturday main event clash from Planet Ice in Altrincham, England, live on DAZN.
Fights aren't won before the bell sounds. And that's what occurred as Rafferty and Chamberlain had an all-out war for 36 minutes, which resulted in a split draw (115-113 Chamberlain, 114-114, 114-114).
Due to the fight being a draw, Rafferty holds onto the British & Commonwealth Super Lightweight titles.
Neither Rafferty or Chamberlain took a backseat throughout. Chamberlain suffered a cut under the left eye from a laser straight right hand in the early rounds. But Chamberlain roared back and unloaded one power shot after another that resulted in swelling under both of Rafferty's eyes. Rafferty came on in the ninth round and appeared to be pulling away.
Then, with about 45 seconds left, Chamberlain rocked Rafferty, who survived and made it to the bell.
After the result was read, both guys were open to a rematch.
