When the bell rings to begin their fight on Saturday night from the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will be the most experienced opponent Jake Paul's faced in his boxing career.

Chavez Jr. (54-6-1, 34 KOs) has battled the likes of current undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez, and former world champions Daniel Jacobs and Sergio Martinez. The knock on Chavez's career has been his inability to fully commit to the sport of boxing and quitting when the tough got going inside the ring. However, Chavez insists things are different and the world is going to see a dedicated fighter in what is arguably his last great stand.

Many people believe Chavez, including Paul. Despite the belief, Paul let Chavez know his career when Saturday night on DAZN PPV is all said and done.

"This is it for him," Paul said at Thursday's press conference. "I feel bad. I'm genuinely sorry. I want to apologize in advance because I know the emotional turmoil you're going to go through. You're going to go into hiding. That's who you are. You love to go and hide.

"I really want to say I'm sorry for what's going to happen. I'll be there for you. I'm always there for my opponents after I beat their a—."

During Paul's speech, a non-bothered Chavez grabbed a can of Celsius, which is a sponsor for the event, and asked him if he was thirsty, hinting at a possible weight-cut issue for the 28-year-old.

"I feel great," Paul said in disputing Chavez's gesture and claim. "You're dumb as f—k to be honest."
