Jake Paul sets Tommy Fury deadline to revive fight

Jake Paul isn't prepared to wait much longer for Tommy Fury.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has long been rumoured to be stepping into the ring with Fury, with an August 6 date at Madison Square Garden seemingly in the cards for the pair. However, nothing has been confirmed between the two, despite long-running trash talk among the two camps, and now Paul has laid down the gauntlet for Fury to accept.

"Tommy Fury, you pulled out last year," Paul tweeted on Wednesday. "Then you agree to fight me now but your dad is trying to pull you out again? We’ve given you everything you asked for."

Paul wrote that Fury has "24 hours [to] clear things up" or the on-again, off-again fight between the two would once again be shelved, possibly for good.

At issue are recent comments made by John Fury, father to Tommy and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, who called Paul a "clown."

“People mentioning me saying there are negotiations in place for Tommy to fight this clown from overseas," John Fury said in an Instagram video posted Monday. "It’s not true. I’m having nothing to do with this at all. It’s a pile of s—.

“I don’t like anybody associated to those people over there. They’re nothing but a pack of tossers. YouTubers. And I’m not interested in it one bit, in any way, shape or form.”
