A lot has changed for Keyshawn Davis since he fought Nahir Albright in October 2023.
He became the WBO lightweight champion in February 2025 and now will be going into his second fight at super lightweight, but with a familiar foe standing across from him when Davis and Albright lock horns again on Saturday night from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, live on DAZN.
In their first fight, Davis won by majority decision. But the result was changed to a no-decision after Davis tested positive for marijuana.
Things are different over two-and-a-half years later. At Thursday's press conference, Davis (14-0, 10 KOs) vowed that the result would be different this time around.
"I got a win over him, and they (Texas Commission) decided to take it back," Davis said at the presser. "I'm going to knock him out in 2026."
Davis' proclamation didn't faze Albright in the slightest bit.
"Ok," Albright retorted.
The promotion for the fight is titled "Unfinished Business" due to the outcome of the first fight and the backstage altercation between the two guys last June. Davis doesn't view it that way and sees this weekend as just a fight and nothing more.
"I feel like this is just the boxing game," Davis said. "We're in here to fight, and we had a signed contract to fight.
"It's not personal. It's not unfinished business. I'm going to knock Woo (Albright's nickname) out."
"You're not knocking me out," Albright shot back.
