SHEFFIELD - Kid Galahad could be stripped of his IBF world featherweight title if he fails to meet the 126lb weight limit when he hits the scales for a second time.
Galahad and his Spanish opponent Kiko Martinez had one last head-to-head before fight night in front of a busy Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, but while Martinez weighed in 125.4lbs, Galahad was recording a weight of 126.1lbs. Not even stripping down could help Galahad make the limit.
The Sheffield fighter now has two hours to make the weight.
Elsewhere Alycia Baumgardner tried to unnerve WBC and IBO super featherweight champion Terri Harper after both women hit the scales. Baumgardner taunted Harper throughout the face off, but the champion didn't seem phased by the American.
There was also a loud reception for James Flint who takes on Dom Hunt for the vacant Central Area welterweight title. Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn has increased the stakes for this fight by doubling the purse if the victor manages to win via knockout.
