Lennox Lewis vs. Tyson Fury fantasy fight - Carl Froch picks his winner
Carl Froch would back Lennox Lewis to emerge victorious in a fantasy heavyweight clash against Tyson Fury.
The outspoken Froch, a former world champion at super-middleweight, has used his YouTube channel to discuss a variety of subjects within the sport and a recent topic centred on the intriguing clash.
Lewis retired from boxing in 2004 following an illustrious career that saw him reach the heavyweight summit on three occasions.
11 years after Lewis’s departure, Fury became heavyweight ruler as he travelled to Germany to beat Wladimir Klitschko. Despite both men possessing solid credentials, Froch gives the nod to Lewis.
“Lennox Lewis. And the reason I was hesitant is because Fury’s obviously big enough, and skilful enough, and light enough on his feet with fast enough combinations to give anybody a hard fight,” said Froch when speaking on Froch on Fighting
“I think Lennox Lewis. Especially the prime Lewis that smashed Andrew Galota down to the floor, rematched Hasim Rahman after getting chinned and was in there with the best of the best.”
