The YouTube celebrity and Floyd Mayweather bout has been postponed.

YouTube celebrity and boxer Logan Paul has revealed his planned fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been delayed.

The original date was set for February 20, but that has now been postponed to an unknown new date. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Paul explained the decision in light of the coronavirus restrictions and the inability to host a full crowd for an event.

"The Mayweather fight is pushed [back], which I am completely OK with," Paul said. "The fight's still happening [but] we want to have a packed arena somewhere and then the business side of things, we have to iron them out. He's got a lot of people on his team. Al Haymon got involved. If you know boxing, you know what that means for getting an actual deal done and figuring out a venue.

"I need as much practice, training, sparring under my belt against this guy. With every day that goes past, I get better, and he gets older."

Mayweather retired in 2015 before coming out of retirement in 2017 to fight and defeat Conor McGregor to secure a 50-0 record. He destroyed kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition bout in December 2018 and has been linked with more exhibition fights since that date.

Paul has fought twice against the same opponent. His first fight was against YouTube star KSI as an amateur, securing a draw, before being beaten in a rematch as a professional in 2019.
