Martin Bakole and Efe Ajagba turn up the heat at press conference ahead of Saturday showdown
Martin Bakole and Efe Ajagba were involved in a heated exchange during the pre-match press conference ahead of their big fight this weekend.
The two African fighters clash on the Canelo Alvarez vs William Scull undercard on Saturday in Riyadh, an event you can see live on DAZN Pay-Per-View, and during the media press conference, the pair showed there's some real spice to their bout by trading verbal blows at each other to the watching crowd.
Bakole is hoping to bounce back after a second-round knockout loss to Joseph Parker last year and his confidence was on full display as he promised to 'punish' Ajagba, before the conversation quickly escalated between the pair.
Nigerian Ajagba warned his opponent that he 'better be ready' before several F-bombs were dropped by the pair and threats thrown in each other's direction.
The antics continued into the face-off following the question-and-answer session. Instead of the usual staredown, the pair could be seen making unusual and comical gestures towards each other, with Bakole continually pointing in the direction of Ajagba while he shadow-boxed in the direction of the Congolese fighter.
