Moses Itauma versus Andy Ruiz would be "an incredible fight", with Eddie Hearn revealing that talks have already taken place.
The Briton is set to face Filip Hrgovic later this month in a heavyweight blockbuster, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View and Ultimate.
But ex-world champion Ruiz has been long mooted as a potential foe for Moses, thanks to his blue-chip prizefighter pedigree.
Now, after the former penned a multi-fight deal with Matchroom, Hearn has teased the possibility of the two men crossing paths.
"Moses Itauma against Andy Ruiz is an incredible fight," he told DAZN News. "I've already talked about it with George Warren.
"You want to crack America? You come to America and fight Andy Ruiz. That's a way to do it. I'm not saying Ruiz beats Moses.
"But that's a hell of a fight, right? I think Ruiz can beat anybody on his day. Look at Adjur Cabio, I believe Andy Ruiz beats him."
Moses has emerged as the heavyweight division's biggest rising star, having conquered all with a string of fine performances.
Recent victories over Dillian Whyte and Jermaine Franklin have only further underlined his reputation as a top knockout artist.
Yet hopes are strong that future opponents can offer both a platform to international success and harder tests of his acumen.

He may find that in the shape of Ruiz, whose reputation - when on song - has been hard-earned thanks to his exploits thus far.
Underlining his support, Hearn added on title potential: "I'm very confident that he can be world heavyweight champion again."
Ruiz stunned the world when he defeated then-unified champion Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden way back in 2019.
Though 'AJ' won a swift rematch to regather his crowns, the Mexican-American has remained a cult favourite for his skill and style.
"He's got unbelievable speed," Hearn added. "He's got a great chin, good IQ and good feet. I've seen it firsthand. He's a problem.
"Murat Gassiev, he beats him all day long. I believe that. [An] in-form Andy Ruiz beats Daniel Dubois, [and] beats Fabio Wardley."
News that Andy Ruiz Jr. has penned terms with Eddie Hearn suggests a reckoning is in the air for the former heavyweight champion.
Struggles outside of the ring have hampered one of the more entertaining glamour division fighters from holding onto the summit.
Yet his victory against Anthony Joshua all those years ago helped give him a boogeyman air, and with it proof he could shock foes.
Moses Itauma would be a tasty option. Hearn's word that talks have been unmoored suggests it is a ship getting ready to sail too.
First though, Ruiz must rebuild a path. It starts later this year - and if he delivers, he may be just a few steps away from the top again.
