Moses Itauma will look to further underline his future champion credentials after it was confirmed he will face two-time WBC interim heavyweight ruler Dillian Whyte in Saudi Arabia this August.
The rising star, one of the most promising young British boxers of his generation, will face his veteran countryman in a blockbuster bout amid the 2025 Esports World Cup.
Itauma, currently ranked number one by the WBO, is continuing to build an impressive body of work as he seeks to take a major glamour division strap in the near future.
But his bout against Whyte, a highly acclaimed operator even as he reaches his older years, offers arguably the sternest test of his career so far, in both name and power.
Victory however would catapult Itauma even further into a picture that will be shaken up following Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois' undisputed rematch a month prior.
The pair will be accompanied on a bill in Riyadh by Nick Ball's WBA featherweight defence against Sam Goodman and a bout between Filip Hrgovic and David Adeleye.
The latter was expected to contest his rematch with Jeamie Tshikeva next after his controversial victory, but instead will face the Rio 2016 bronze-medallist instead.
Anthony Cacace will back up his win over Leigh Wood with a bout against Raymond Ford, while Hayato Tsutaumi and Quais Ashfaq meet in a super feathweight clash too.
