Whittaker vs Suarez: Subscribe to watch - Saturday

Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is eager to become a pundit for DAZN when he decides to call time on his career.

Usyk is one of this generation's greatest ever fighters, and after conquering both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions, there is not much left for the Ukrainian to achieve.

His next fight is set for May 23, when he defends his WBC heavyweight title against kickboxing legend Rico Verhoeven, live on DAZN, with the contest taking place at the historic Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.

At the age of 39, retirement is on the immediate horizon for Usyk, and he is eager to remain involved in the sport which has given him so much.

'Maybe DAZN will give me the chance to work in TV'

In the build-up to next month's fight against Verhoeven, Usyk revealed that he has just three fights left.

Including Verhoeven, Usyk is hoping to secure meetings with the winner of Wardley-Dubois and then a trilogy against Tyson Fury.

After retiring, Usyk appears interested in becoming a part of the boxing media, and perhaps linking up with the Global Home of Boxing DAZN on pundit duty.

"I will work with you. Maybe DAZN will give me the chance to work on TV and be an expert," Usyk told 5 Live Boxing with Steve Bunce.

Uysk is an overwhelming favourite to beat Verhoeven, and there is a hope that the Ukrainian will fight more than once this year.

However, Usyk is not so sure if he will be figthing for a second time in 2026.

"Maybe not," Usyk responded when asked about more fights later this year.

"Maybe this, and then November, December. We’ll see."
