Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois - Carl Froch picks his winner

Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois - Carl Froch picks his winnerDAZN

Carl Froch is backing Oleksandr Usyk to retain his world heavyweight titles when he faces Daniel Dubois on Saturday night in Poland.

The talented Ukrainian is making the second defence of his belts and he’s looking to make the Londoner his fourth British victim following wins over Tony Bellew, Derek Chisora, and Anthony Joshua.

After capturing heavyweight glory against Joshua in 2021, Usyk has been eager to test himself against Tyson Fury in an undisputed title clash.

Victory over Dubois can get him closer to that fight and Froch, a former world champion at 168lbs, thinks Usyk will get the job done.

“If you put their names into a computer, 99 times out of 100, maybe even 100 times out of 100, it’s going to have Usyk winning that fight,” said Froch on his Froch on Fighting show

“He doesn’t know how to lose. He’s an unbelievable talent, he’s almost unbeatable. He will probably win this fight on points over 12 rounds and maybe even get a late stoppage.”
