The Irish fighter improved to 17-0 (9 KOs) after outpointing Liam Dillon by unanimous decision in the co-feature to the Fabio Wardley vs Justis Huni main event at Portman Road Football Ground in Ipswich, England, and live on DAZN.
After 12 rounds of action, judges scored it 116-112, 115-113, 117-112 all in favor of O'Leary.
The super lightweight quickly noticed Dillon was a bit too hunched over in stance and fed him a feast of jabs, body punches and uppercuts that the gritty British fighter ate but did not find a solution for.
The body punches, in particular, were crunching in not only slowing Dillon down but helping O'Leary bank round after round without major resistance.
Though Dillon was game and tough in hanging with O'Leary, he proved not to be on his level in sweet science skills.
