Ryan Garcia is not impressed with a former world titleholder.

Ryan Garcia has not held back when discussing a former opponent of Devin Haney who also held a world title belt.

Garcia is set to face Haney for the WBC super lightweight title on April 20 live on DAZN PPV in what is a huge fight stateside and the war of words between the pair is well underway.

Haney became a two-weight world champion last December when he beat Regis Prograis for the WBC's 140lb title, and now Garcia has claimed that Prograis fights like an amateur and is someone he would be able to knockout with ease.

"You’ve got to have no mercy on Devin, that’s the problem Lomachenko had, Regis is just not a good fighter, he’s still amateur in my opinion, the way he fights. He started late and it’s showing that he started late," Garcia told DAZN's Off the Cuff

"I would knock him out within three rounds. It would be very bad for Regis."

Garcia's rivalry with Haney was one that was prevalent during their days as amateurs with each fighter having three wins apiece, and the upcoming clash at Brooklyn's Barclays Center will not only be chance for Garcia to win his first world title, but also an opportunity to settle the score with one of boxing's most talented operators.
