History is set to be made in Las Vegas where Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs) or Caleb Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) will be crowned the first undisputed at super-middleweight in the four belt era.
For Canelo, this is the end of an 11 month quest to win all the 168lb world titles which started with a win against WBC and WBA champion Callum Smith last December, and then a stoppage victory against Billy Joe Saunders in Texas five months later for the WBO belt.
Now all that stands in Canelo's way is IBF champion Caleb Plant who is a huge underdog for this fight.
Plant certainly has the tools to trouble Canelo, but whether he can use them effectively and beat the Mexican is a different story.
Here are all the details for Canelo vs. Plant.
Canelo weighed in at 168 pounds, while Plant registered 167 pounds on the scale.
BetMGM has installed Canelo as the resounding -1000 favourite to defeat Plant which means a $1000 bet on the pound-for-pound rankings ruler would land you just $100 (plus your one-grand stake back, of course).
Plant on the other hand has been the underdog at +600, so a $100 wager on him to win outright can net you $600 plus stake return if he finds a way to shock the world.
The main card is set to start at 9 p.m. ET / 1 a.m. GMT with the main event ringwalks scheduled for 12 a.m. ET / 4 a.m. GMT. As ever with a live fight night, these timings are subject to change depending on the length of the undercard fights.
The fight will be shown on Showtime PPV in the US, while BT Sport Box Office will broadcast this undisputed title fight in the UK.
The fight takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Canelo vs. Plant fight will not air on DAZN. However, The DAZN Boxing Show will be in Las Vegas during fight week for live episodes, exclusive interviews and more.
