After Saturday night's comprehensive win he has two belts outstanding.

Shakur Stevenson is aiming to collect more belts at super featherweight after defeating Oscar Valdez on Saturday night.

The WBO 130lb champion defeated Valdez on Saturday in a unanimous and comfortable points decision (118-109, 118-109, 117-110) victory to add the WBC strap to his resume at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The win moves Stevenson on to an 18-0 record with nine knockouts. He had Valdez in trouble for much of the fight, especially as he grew into the later rounds to establish clear dominance.

While Valdez made a late burst for victory in the 12th it was too little, too late.

“This victory means everything. I told you all what I was going to do. I said I’m going to beat Valdez, Canelo, and Eddy Reynoso,” Stevenson said after the fight, reported by WorldBoxingNews.

“That was my game plan, beat the whole team, and I feel good about it. Much respect to them all – but that was my game plan.”

Stevenson said he aimed to add the remaining two belts to his collection.

"I want to collect all the belts at 130 and become undisputed," Stevenson said. "I deserve to be a superstar so that’s what I gotta do.”

Valdez meanwhile admitted that the superior fighter on the night was Stevenson.

“He did what he had to do to win the fight,” he said. “He’s a great fighter. His speed is there. Power is there. He was just the better fighter tonight. Overall, a great fighter.”
