Teddy Atlas makes incredible bet on Fabio Wardley vs Justis Huni fight

Teddy Atlas is a big believer in Justis Huni, and he has put his money where his mouth by betting on the Australian heavyweight to beat Fabio Wardley.

Huni faces the biggest test of his career on Saturday night when he travels to Ipswich Town’s Portman Road to take on the local favourite for the WBA interim strap.  

The fight is the latest in the ongoing battle between Queensberry and Matchroom, and it is Wardley, Frank Warren’s fighter, who is the betting favourite. 

Last year, Wardley endured the first dent on his record when he was held to a draw by Frazer Clarke, but he made amends in an immediate rematch as he stopped Clarke in the opening session. 

Wardley was scheduled to face Jarrell Miller this weekend, but an injury to the American means that Huni stepped in and he is ready to cause an upset.

Atlas, who has a lengthy history in the heavyweight division after training the likes of Mike Tyson and Michael Moorer, knows the sport as well as anyone, and he is backing Huni to get the job done. 

Posting on his Instgram account , Atlas posted a screenshot of his bet and he has placed $1500 on the underdog. 

The fight is just around the corner, and plenty will be watching carefully as the next big heavyweight contender is likely to be decided between Wardley and Huni. 

Will Atlas get it right like he often does? Or will Wardley punish Huni and hit Atlas in the pocket?
