Terence Crawford said this after his September fight with Canelo Alvarez was made official

Immediately after Canelo Alvarez defeated William Scull to become a two-time undisputed super middleweight world champion, Turki Alalshikh had everyone atĀ ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia clear the ringĀ except the Mexican boxing sensation.

Then, Terence Crawford, who was sitting ringside Saturday night, stepped between the ropes, with the two boxing legends engaging in a faceoff.

Alalshikh announcedĀ that Canelo vs. Crawford will take place September 12 in Las Vegas.

That said, Crawford did not waste time letting the world know why he will be the one who ends Alvarez' stronghold over the 168-pound division.

"Because I'm the best, that's why," Crawford told DAZN's Chris Mannix.Ā "That's why everybody is going to come and watch September 12."

Prior to witnessing Alvarez defeat Scull in a low-action contest, Crawford would not call his impending matchup with Alvarez the biggest fight in boxing history .

But the two-division undisputed kingĀ didĀ give the super fight its own distinction.

Ā "I'm not going to say theĀ biggestĀ fight in boxing history," Crawford said, "but I am going to say the biggest fight in the last decade."

The mega bout pits the two lock future Hall of Famers andĀ the greatest boxers of this generation against each other for ultimate sweet science glory.
