It looks like WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury hasn't completely shut the door on his boxing career.

In a recent post on Instagram, Fury offered to fight Joshua with an interesting term, everything has to be for free.

"This is re-confirmation of what I’ve said about fighting Anthony Joshua for f—k all in England," Fury said.

"That’s how the fight happens, I’ll sign the contract today, the fight has got to be for free, free-to-air television and all tickets go for free. No money is to be made out of this British historic fight if it happens.

"There’s the terms, I’m in the driving seat, take it or f—g leave it. The ball is in your court guys, take or leave it, I don’t give a damn.

"There’s the offer, peace out."

Despite announcing his retirement from boxing following his win against Dillian Whyte last April, there is an assumption among those within the sport that Fury will return, including his father John Fury who told DAZN in an exclusive interview courtesy of FreeBets.com that his son would lace up the gloves once more if Joshua can overcome Oleksandr Usyk in their world heavyweight championship rematch on August 20

However, despite claims from Fury that he will fight Joshua for free, the latter's promoter Eddie Hearn reminded The DAZN Boxing Show that Fury has already gone on record with significant financial demands to break his apparent self-imposed 'retirement' from pro boxing.

"He’s a genius, Tyson Fury, because no one ever questions what he says," Hearn said.

"On the one hand, he said you’ve got to pay him 500 million to come out of retirement, and in the next sentence, he says he will fight AJ for free on non-PPV. It’s absolutely brilliant.

"The only way Tyson Fury’s going to fight again is for a bucket load of money, and Tyson Fury will go to Timbuktu or Mars for a bucket load of money."
