Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - Teddy Atlas picks his winner
Teddy Atlas is backing Oleksandr Usyk to defeat Tyson Fury when the heavyweight champions collide next year.
The longtime rivals will finally meet as boxing looks to crown an undisputed heavyweight champion, and Atlas, one of boxing’s all-time great trainers, believes the Ukrainian can get the job done.
Fury begins the fight a slight favourite, but his form has been called into question due to his most recent showing against Francis Ngannou in October.
Fury was dropped in the fight’s third round and struggled down the stretch, but he was given the verdict and now he goes up against Usyk on February 17.
“I can’t go against Usyk, because there’s one box nobody’s checking,” said Atlas when speaking to Pro Box TV.
“Yeah, they’re saying the other guy’s got the jab, can box, he’s the bigger man. Usyk has one asset that he’s always had. You know what it is? He knows how to win.
