In recent years, Morsy has been a central part of Ipswich's revival, with two successive promotions from League One to the dizzy heights of the Premier League.

Despite a spirited effort, the club were relegated last season, but there is optimism that they have the foundations to make a quick return.

As well as being successful on the football pitch, Ipswich are also enjoying a boost in boxing thanks to the exploits of Wardley.

The star has built momentum and his last fight, a one-round destruction of Frazer Clarke, has some within the indudtsry pegging him as a future world heavyweight champion.

A win over Huni this Saturday night will go a long way to strengthening those beliefs, and Morsy is excited for the first bell to ring.

“It’s once in a lifetime stuff isn’t it? Said Morsy when speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times

"Fab started really late, did white collar, the journey is just incredible – similar to our journey in the back-to-back, doing something which doesn’t usually happen.

“It will be a tremendous experience and I’m buzzing for him. It’s going to be an historic event and historic moment for him.

“So, I really enjoyed it, I enjoy watching it and it’s amazing to see Fab do his thing as part of the Ipswich family – and hopefully he wins.”
