Kazuto Ioka and Donnie Nietes fight on Wednesday for the second time in four years after the WBO ordered a rematch.
Ioka is now the WBO junior bantamweight champion after defeating Aston Palicte in June 2019 and has made four defenses since taking the strap.
The 40-year-old Nietes defeated Ioka in Macau on New Year's Eve in 2018 but then spent three years out of the ring. His most recent fight was a draw in December up against Norbelto Jimenez.
At 33, Ioka boasts plenty of experience and has held titles across four divisions, just as his opponent.
