Who are the youngest world boxing champions in history? Can Ryan Garcia join the list?

After a 15 month absence, Ryan Garcia finally steps back inside a boxing ring to face Emmanuel Tagoe on April 9th live across the world on DAZN. 

At the age of 23 with a 21-0 record, the future is looking bright for Garcia, who could become a world champion before he's 30.

If he does fulfill his world title dreams in the next few years or so, he would become one of boxing's youngest active world champions. WBC super flyweight champion Jesse Rodriguez is currently the youngest active world champion at 22 years old after beating Carlas Cuadras in February.

• Pipino Cuevas (18 years, six months and 21 days); WBA welterweight champion
• Hiroki Ioka (18 years, nine months and 11 days); WBC straweight champion 
• Tony Canzoneri (18 years, 11 months and 19 days); NYSAC featherweight champion
• Netrnoi Sor Varasingh (19 years and 15 days); WBC light flyweight champion 
• Morris East (19 years, one month and two days);  WBA super lightweight champion 
• Marvin Sonsona (19 years, one month and 11 days); WBO super flyweight champion 
• Al McCoy (19 years, five months and 16 days); Wold middleweight champion 

While Garcia may not find himself in the top 10 all-time youngest world champions, he is set to be one of the youngest active world champions in the sport if he manages to win a world title later this year.
