Zhilei Zhang vs. Deontay Wilder: Paulie Malignaggi makes prediction for heavyweight clash

Zhilei Zhang vs. Deontay Wilder: Paulie Malignaggi makes prediction for heavyweight clashMark Robinson/Matchroom Boxing
The heavyweight fight will take place later this year.

A unique boxing event is set to take place on June 1 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It will pit Queensberry Promotions and Matchroom Boxing against each other with five fighters from each promotional stable going head-to-head with the aim of securing British boxing bragging rights.

One of the standout matchups from the 5 v 5 card is the heavyweight clash between Zhilei Zhang, who is representing Queensberry, taking on former world champion Deontay Wilder, who will be Matchroom's captain for the event.

Both men have recently suffered losses to former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker, and there is plenty riding on the result of this particular fight.

For the winner, it will serve as a platform to challenge for heavyweight boxing's biggest prizes and face the division's biggest names, the loser meanwhile could fade into the boxing wilderness.

Former fighter turned boxing analyst Paulie Malignaggi has given his thoughts on the upcoming clash between Zhang and Wilder, and he believes Zhang has a style which could trouble Wilder.

"Zhang will push you back and Deontay going backwards is useless and he looked terrible in his last fight," Malignaggi told Fastestpayoutonlinecasino.com.

"Current form, I see Zhang pushing him back and beating Wilder up but Zhang - there's no head movement and he's a lefty - so that entrance for the right hand is there. But you'd need a motivated Wilder with a nasty mentality to even land it."
