Defending champion Michael van Gerwen continues to assert his dominance on this year's Premier League Darts following another win in Liverpool.
The Dutchman registered a third successive victory after beating Michael Smith 6-4 in a rematch of this year's World Championship final which now gives MVG an eight point lead at the top of the table.
There was also joy on Merseyside for Peter Wright who finally got his first win of the campaign after beating Gerwyn Price 6-5 in the evening's first quarter-final.
