Gerwyn Price moved into second in the Premier League table after beating Chris Dobey 6-4 in Thursday night's final.
Price kicked off his success in Nottingham with a 6-4 win over fellow countryman Jonny Clayton in the quarter-finals before overcoming Dimitri Van den Bergh by the same scoreline in the last four.
Elsewhere, Michael van Gerwen was on the wrong end of a shock result in the East Midlands who despite thrashing Peter Wright 6-1 in the quarter-finals, was beaten 6-0 by eventual runner-up Chris Dobey in the semi-finals.
