The Los Angeles Chargers welcome the Miami Dolphins to California tonight as both teams open their 2023 NFL season.

The Dolphins are looking to get back into the playoffs again after reaching the Wild Card round last season, with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's fitness a key factor in Miami's fortunes. If Tagovailoa can stay healthy, the Dolphins are a real threat for a longer postseason run.

On the other side of the field, the Chargers are also coming off a season in which they reached the Wild Card playoffs. The arrival of Kellen Moore as offensive coordinator signals a potential upgrade in performance for QB Justin Herbert, whose continued improvement is a beacon of hope for Chargers fans.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of Dolphins vs. Chargers.
