An NHL legend has appeared to find the fountain of youth.

On Friday evening, 53-year-old Jaromir Jagr began his 38th season of hockey, playing for his hometown team, Kladno Knights, as they won 3-1 over Vitkovice in the Czech league.

Jagr played on the fourth line and registered 10:08 of ice time, which included participating on the power-play line. It was Jagr's season debut for Kladno as he was out for the first 14 games due to a muscle injury.

"He makes his presence felt in the locker room," forward Jakub Konecny said after the game, as Jagr didn't talk to the media after the game. "We have a lot of fun with him."

Jagr had a player/owner role with Kladno until earlier this year, when he sold his majority share of the team so he could help the team financially.

During his illustrious career, Jagr scored 766 career goals, which places him fourth on the all-time goal list.Â
