NHL Games To Watch For The Week Of December 15

The 2025-26 NHL season is off to a roaring start, as we are in the holiday season, and you can watch the action all season long with NHL.TV on DAZN (excl. the US and Canada). 

Now, we enter the seventh week of the NHL season, and there are some intriguing games on the docket.

Each week, DAZN News will take a look at three games to watch on NHL.TV on DAZN .

Edmonton Oilers @ Pittsburgh Penguins: Tuesday, December 16/Wednesday, December 17 (7:30 pm ET/12:30 am GMT/2:30 am CEST)

It's Connor McDavid vs. Sidney Crosby. There's not too much more you have to write here with two of the most dominant players in the last ten years squaring off. Newly acquired Stuart Skinner and Tristan Jarry could be starting for their new teams as they battle one another. Jarry made his debut on Saturday with McDavid and the Oilers (15-12-6) while Skinner hasn't debuted yet with the Penguins (14-8-9).

Washington Capitals @ Minnesota Wild: Tuesday, December 16/Wednesday, December 17 (8:00 pm ET/1:00 am GMT/3:00 am CEST)

An intriguing matchup in Minnesota with Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals (18-10-4) coming to town and squaring off with the newly acquired Quinn Hughes. We will learn rather quickly how Hughes is going to adjust to be playing for the Wild (19-9-5), who have four games this week. 

Colorado Avalanche @ Seattle Kraken: Tuesday, December 16/Wednesday, December 17 (10:00 pm ET/3:00 am GMT/5:00 am CEST)

The Avalanche continue their dominant run on top of the NHL with 53 points before the end of the calendar year, and also lead in goals per game and goals against per game. The Kraken have been on the skids as of late after a solid 11-5-5 start, going 1-7-1 in their last nine games.
