Prepare for a landmark evening in combat sports on Saturday as GLORY 100 brings together an extraordinary lineup of title fights, tournament showdowns, and record-chasing performances, live on DAZN PPV.
This event is bursting with value - featuring four championship bouts and a host of high-stakes matches all on one card. With legacy-making moments and career-defining opportunities in store, GLORY 100, on June 14, is a rare chance to witness combat sports history in the making.
“The King of Kickboxing” Rico Verhoeven has been the long-reigning GLORY Kickboxing Heavyweight World Champion since first capturing the crown in 2014. That’s over 4,000 days as champion with a whopping 12 title defences.
Additionally, he’s also captured three tournament crowns. Since picking up kickboxing gold, he has won 21 consecutive bouts, a mix of tournament and title defense bouts.
Let’s compare Rico Verhoeven’s historic run to other sports. In boxing, his title reign would be the third longest in heavyweight history, only behind Joe Louis (4,270 days) and Wladimir Klitschko (4,382 days). But, he would bump Muhammad Ali out of the third-place spot, who held gold for 3,443 days.
For consecutive title defences, Verhoeven’s 12 would place him just ahead of Muhammad Ali. GLORY 100 might see his 13th title defence, which would have him tied with Tommy Burns in fourth place for most consecutive title defences in boxing history.
In heavyweight boxing terms, the reign of Rico Verhoeven would place him among the all-time greats of boxing history. Alongside names such as Ali, Louis, and Burns. But what about in MMA terms?
A 4,000-day reign as world champion would be the longest reigning champion in UFC history by quite a large margin. Currently, all-time great Anderson Silva holds the record with 2,457 days. One would need to combine Silva’s record with the number two ranked Demetrious Johnson (2,142 days) to match Verhoeven’s historic run.
As for title defences, 12 has already put Verhoeven ahead of anyone in UFC history. A potential 13 at GLORY 100 is Verhoeven doing laps around these athletes. The flyweight “Mighty Mouse” Johnson holds the record for most title defenses in UFC history with 11, followed by Silva at 10.

To match Verhoeven in the UFC for title defenses, one would need to combine the reign of Islam Makhachev (4), Khabib Nurmagomedov (3), and Israel Adesanya (5) to match “The King of Kickboxing.”
Because of the long-reigning Dutch giant Verhoeven, no athlete in GLORY history has been able to hold light heavyweight and heavyweight titles. Artem Vakhitov is looking to break this at GLORY 100 as he attempts to defeat the heavyweight king. The Russian-born held the light heavyweight throne with an iron grip, including a win over future two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira.
The heavy-handed Brazilian Alex Pereira was able to capture the GLORY middleweight throne and successfully defended this title in five bouts. Currently, reigning champion Donovan Wisse, of Suriname, is tied at five bouts.
GLORY 100 could see him break the record, having the most middleweight title defences in GLORY history at 6. However, standing in his way in the wrecking ball Michael Boapeah, who is a non-stop aggressive fighter looking to avenge a prior loss.
The knockout striker Miguel Trindade is looking for revenge against the expert Muay Thai athlete Petpanomrung Kiatmuu9 in their GLORY 100 bout. Petch has already defended his featherweight crown in a historic 8 bouts, the second most in GLORY history only behind Verhoven. The Thai-born Petch is looking to catch up to the Dutchman’s record and earn his ninth title defense, a feat scarcely seen in kickboxing history.
GLORY 100, on June 14, is set to etch its name in kickboxing lore, for more than the sheer volume of championship bouts and tournament clashes, but for the historic stakes attached to nearly every pairing.
Rico Verhoeven’s legendary reign as heavyweight champion continues to redefine greatness. Meanwhile, the middleweight division could witness a new record-holder in Donovan Wisse, while featherweight king Petpanomrung Kiatmuu9 chases a nearly unprecedented ninth title defense.
With so many records on the line, GLORY 100 is poised to deliver a night of action that will be talked about for generations, solidifying its place as a landmark event for kickboxing and combat sports as a whole.
