Miloš Cvjetićanin is a man who embraces a challenge and finds comfort in succeeding in the impossible. Kickboxing is a high-stakes sport where the wrong move can lead you to getting knocked out. All of your contemporaries are trying to destroy you. It’s an industry thousands may try, but one can succeed. That’s exactly why the Serbian striker Cvjetićanin loves it.
The 31-year-old athlete is competing in GLORY’s Last Heavyweight Standing Tournament. It began with a record-breaking 32 men and is now down to just 16. These fighters will need to compete twice at GLORY 100 on June 14 to advance to the final four.
Serbia’s Cvjetićanin is experienced in one-night tournaments. In 2024, he won a K-1 championship by defeating three men, all by way of KO/TKO, in a single night. He was to contend in Japan but chose instead to sign with GLORY because the heavyweight division was more competitive. He wants the challenge. In an exclusive interview with DAZN News , he explained:
“If you don’t believe in yourself, nobody will. I’ve been through a lot in my career - giving up on training, losing my consistency. But now, I've decided to give everything I’ve got to be on top. That’s what I’d like to say to all the young people: just believe in yourself, and everything is possible. I mean, why would you do what is possible? I’d like to do something impossible. What’s possible is boring. So let’s do something impossible.”
GLORY Kickboxing is the apex kickboxing organization for Cvjetićanin as he looks to compete in both the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. Each of these weight classes in GLORY is stacked.
“It means a lot to even fight here in GLORY, with all of these stars, to become part of them, and to be in the best condition ever. To show what I’m capable of - it’s pretty amazing. I like being a heavyweight because it’s the desire of every fighter - to be the heavyweight fighter, to be champion. So maybe I’ll stay. But I think I’m going to move from light heavy to heavy, if it’s possible, to have fun and take everything possible.”
Despite being one of the smaller fighters in the tournament, he’s celebrating that he’s already defeated the heaviest fighter, Nabil Khachab, who weighed in at over 350 lbs.
“It was pretty surprising, because I had the heaviest test, which was Nabil Khachab. I said, ‘Anyway, I’m going through him.’ Which is the whole point.”
The point? Find the biggest challenge one can, something impossible, and strive to make it possible. As an amateur, he’s already collected world titles, and he’s looking to add even more to his trophy cabinet. His next fight at GLORY 100 is vital for his career.
On June 14, he faces the knockout striker Cem Cáceres who is a young and dangerous striker looking to make a name for himself. But Cvjetićanin is confident that he can overcome the challenge.
“My only objective is the next fight. I’m showing what I do best. Victory.”
