Ciryl Gane wants UFC heavyweight title fight with Francis Ngannou to be in France

Ciryl Gane wants UFC heavyweight title fight with Francis Ngannou to be in FranceDAZN
Such a clash would mark the UFC's first event in France.

There's only one place that could play host to a Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane UFC heavyweight championship fight the way "Bon Gamin" sees it — his home country of France.

Gane, who won the interim heavyweight title with a third-round TKO of Derrick Lewis last weekend, thinks it's certainly "possible" that France becomes the destination for where he'll put his gold up against Ngannou's heavyweight championship to decide the ultimate ruler of the division.

"I hope, hopefully, this is going to be in my country," Gane told TMZ Sports on Thursday

The fact that the UFC has never held an event in France would make it all the more sweeter for Gane.

"I think for the debut of the UFC, probably it will be a great fight for starting this, and it will be a big success for sure," he continued. "We have a lot of fun in France and big potential."

Gane even extended his sale's pitch to UFC president Dana White.

"I just want to say I can sell some tickets. That's (for) sure. In my country, of course I can sell some tickets."

Gane and Ngannou are former training teammates.

And Ngannou didn't take long to respond to Gane's performance last weekend, only increasing anticipation for the heavyweights to step into the Octagon together someday soon.
