The former UFC champion made an announcement on Saturday night.

Conor McGregor announced that he had become part-owner of the BKFC bare-knuckle boxing franchise.

The Irishman has developed a string of business interests outside of UFC, owning a whiskey brand, a pub, and other ventures - including a recent appearance in the Road House remake.

He has recently been confirmed as returning to the sport where he made his name, to take on Michael Chandler at UFC 303, which will be his first fight since his defeat to Dustin Poirier back in 2021.

However, before the BKFC KnuckleMania 4 co-main event on Saturday night, he announced: " 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor here.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the huge announcement that I have for you today, Conor McGregor myself, and McGregor Sports and Entertainment is now an owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships.

"Welcome to the big leagues. David Feldman, baby, we did it." 

David Feldman, BKFC president said: "I think it's just going to move the needle tremendously. We're going to do a lot of big things. We're going to open up a lot of new markets."
