Former world champion gives update on potential Conor McGregor fight

Former world champion gives update on potential Conor McGregor fightDAZN
McGregor appears open to crossing over once more.

Paulie Malignaggi expressed his feelings towards a potential fight with Conor McGregor.

McGregor is finally set to come back from a three-year injury layoff after losing to Dustin Poirier and suffering a broken leg, and is scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 next month.

Malignaggi was a world champion at two weights, but aged 43 it appears he feels his time in the ring is over.

McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather back in 2017, losing to the multi-division world champion in a massive PPV event.

Speaking to Fastestpayoutonlinecasino.com, the former fighter suggested that McGregor might still be calling his name because he wants another boxing match, but he has no interest anymore.

He said: “When you think about another person as consistently as he thinks about me, I think you'd at least be trying to set up a fight - but we're long past that.

“That ship has long sailed, so the fact he continues to think about me confirms what I've heard about him - but I'm not the one for you, Conor.”
