Exclusive: Multi-faceted UFC fighter Jean Silva is a hitman, but a 'calm' one

Jean Silva has been unstoppable since joining the UFC, with four finishes in four fights.

Next up for Silva is a potentially fiery bout with Bryce Mitchell on April 12 at UFC 314. The Brazilian shares some physical similarities with Agent 47 of the popular Hitman video game franchise, something that he leans into.

But behind the hitman persona is a composed and collected person, as he shared with DAZN News.

"I’m a fan of the series, the movie series, the stories about the character called Hitman," Silva said. "I also have a tattoo.

"But at the same time, me, Jean Silva, don't fully connect with that guy because I’m a happy guy. I’m a very calm guy."

He added: "But on the other hand, my alter ego, 'Lord', the guy who gets in the ring, he's definitely a Hitman, and he connects with that." 

With this duality, Silva seems to have found the perfect balance. Once again, "Lord" will step into the Octagon with Silva against Mitchell next month.

"I got into this place where I don't question that anymore because it's working," Silva said of his alter ego. "So why am I going to question these two different behaviours?

"Because this other dimension, the 'Lord' dimension, my alter ego is doing his job."
