It's a fight that fans can't wait to see. Michael Chandler (23-9) takes on Paddy Pimblett (22-3) in a lightweight clash that promises to put on a show.
On the same card at UFC 314, Brazilian prodigy Patricio Pitbull (36-7) will make his debut for the American organisation against Yair Rodriguez (20-6, 1 NC) in the featherweight division.
A former two-time Bellator champion, Patricio Pitbull notably won against Chandler by first-round TKO after just one minute in 2019, which ended up being the shortest fight of his career so far. When asked by DAZN News what his prediction would be between Chandler and Pimblett, Patricio Pitbull had a clear winner in mind.
"I exchanged messages with Pimblett, and he seems to be in a very good place heading into this fight," Patricio Pitbull said. "Chandler, right now, is more focused on putting on a show, and he’s forgotten about winning, so he doesn't have that real championship mentality anymore.
"That makes me lean towards Pimblett. They're both great fighters, but in terms of who wants it more and who has the momentum right now, I think that's Pimblett."
The card will be headlined by another featherweight fight, between Alexander Volkanovski (26-4) and Diego Lopes (26-6) for the division's championship, left vacant after the departure of Ilia Topuria. Patricio Pitbull is leaning towards one man over the other.
"I believe that Diego Lopes is in a better moment, but we can't doubt Volkanovski," he said. "We’ll see what happens, but I believe Diego Lopes will win the fight."
