Arnold Allen is one of those fighters that fans love to watch.
Coming off a win in July 2024 over Giga Chikadze, the 31-year-old doesn't have a set date for his return to action. Asked by DAZN News when he will be back in the octagon, Allen replied: "I don't know yet. I tore something in my shoulder. I’ve just started rehab, so hopefully within the next few weeks, I'll be back to sparring and then looking at dates to fight."
The No. 7 featherweight in the UFC rankings, Allen is aiming for a move to lightweight when he returns.
"Yeah, definitely," he said. "Doing all this rehab work and different exercises, I've got a little bit heavier than usual. So lightweight could definitely be a realistic thing."
In January 2024, Arnold Allen lost to Movsar Evloev, one of the featherweight fighters to watch. While a move to lightweight is a goal for the Briton, Allen would also like a rematch with the unbeaten prodigy.
"Yeah, I would," he said. "I would love it. Ideally, in a perfect world, he wins the title and I get a rematch and I beat him for the title. That would be nice. I think I won the first fight."
"I would retire right now if I didn't believe I could be champion," he added. "There's no point in being in the sport if you don't believe you can be the best. I know we're prizefighters, but I want to be world champion."
