The former UFC fighter thinks it's about time that a boxer steps into the cage.

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson is tired of boxers calling out MMA fighters for a sweet science bout but unwilling to enter the cage for a mixed martial arts clash.

The MMA legend let the DAZN Boxing Show know just that, when the prospect of facing former world heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs came up. Jackson and Briggs have been jawing at each other via social media and 'Rampage' is interested in fighting Briggs in a boxing bout, only if Briggs will return the favor and grant him an MMA fight in return.

"Yeah, because I'm tired of boxers calling us out into the arena. And they too chicken s—t, they're too coward to come over into the cage," Jackson began telling Ak and Barak. "And (Briggs) agreed to come to the cage, so he got more heart than other boxers."

Jackson evoked the name of boxing great James Toney who did step into the confines of the Octagon back in August 2010, when Randy Couture made him tap out to an arm-triangle choke.

"James only came over to UFC and and quite honestly I think the UFC did him dirty because first of all if I was a promoter, and I had a boxer such as James Toney, I mean James Toney, come over to MMA, I wouldn't put them against a fighter like Randy Couture," Jackson said.

"I will put them against somebody that they probably knew how to wrestle but wasn't a wrestler but was mostly a striker," he continued. "Yes, to make an exciting fight they just kill the guy's dream, so when I fight Shannon in MMA, don't expect for me to go and take him down right away."

And 'Rampage' isn't shy of taking to his social media accounts to help bait Briggs into the cage, either.
