Despite a rare trophyless season for Manchester City, the Premier League outfit still enter the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup as one of the favourites .

After winning the final Club World Cup in its former guise,  Pep Guardiola's will be determined to end a long frustrating campaign on a positive note.

This summer, there will be 32 teams vying for the title, with 63 games in total, all live and free on DAZN, with Man City starting Wednesday, June 18 at 5pm BST, against Wydad AC.

The new format for the FIFA organised tournament will see some of the biggest names in club football go head-to-head in something akin to a World Cup or European Championship.

Manchester City's 2025 Club World Cup schedule

In order to reach the knockout stages, City must first successfully navigate the group stage where the top two teams from each group will qualify. 

City have been drawn into Group G with Wydad AC, Al Ain and Juventus.

City's schedule for the knockout stages will be determined once the group stage has come to a close. 

When is 2025 Club World Cup?

This year's Club World Cup will begin on Saturday, June 14 when Inter Miami takes on Al Ahly FC at Hard Rock Stadium with the final scheduled for Sunday, July 13 at MetLife Stadium. 

  • Group Stage:  Saturday, June 14 - Thursday, June 26
  • Round of 16:  Saturday, June 28 - Tuesday, July 1
  • Quarter-finals:  Friday, July 4 - Saturday, July 5
  • Semi-finals:  Tuesday, July 8 - Wednesday, July 9
  • Final:  Sunday, July 13

How many teams are playing in 2025 Club World Cup?

In total 32 teams will be competing at the Club World Cup with all international federations represented. 

Inter Miami have also been give a place at the tournament as a result of the United States being the hosts.
